J. Wyatt Wimberly has been practicing in the lowcountry for years primarily in the areas of Family Law.  While he grew up in Bowman and Orangeburg, South Carolina, Wyatt entered the Honors College at the College of Charleston at the age of 16, and has resided in Charleston ever since.  He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and received his Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law in 2009 after receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology in 2006 from the College of Charleston.

Wyatt is an active member of the Charleston Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association, as well as the American Bar Association.   In the past, Wyatt has served with the Families Forever Committee of the South Carolina Young Lawyer’s Division which helps raise adoption awareness, assisted in juvenile matters and the pre-trial intervention (PTI) program with the Office of the Solicitor for the First Judicial Circuit, and has participated in the MDA’s Lock-Up fundraiser to help raise funds and awareness for individuals and their families affected by muscular dystrophy.

Wyatt lives on James Island with his wife, Melissa, and their beloved Shiba Inu pups, Kitson and Sheba.  In his spare time, Wyatt enjoys playing guitar, traveling and Charleston’s local culinary and performing arts.
